Dr. Seuss

Last week at PLA Academy, we had a blast celebrating Dr. Seuss! We spent the whole week exploring his whimsical world through stories, silly activities, and creative art projects.

Here's a peek into our Seuss-tacular week:

Monday: We kicked things off with everyone's favorite troublemaker, The Cat in the Hat! We donned our hats and sported red and white to match the iconic story. Instead of an individual art project, we collaborated on a giant Cat in the Hat hat – a masterpiece to remember!

Tuesday: It was Silly Sock Day! Inspired by "The Foot Book," we unleashed our inner artists by walking through paint and across a long sheet of paper, leaving behind colorful footprints and mixing colors as we went.

Wednesday: Get ready for "Wacky Wednesday!" Our classroom transformed into a land of the unexpected. From moved around furniture to misplaced objects, the kids had a blast spotting the wacky elements.

Thursday: Green eggs and ham for breakfast? You bet! We embraced the spirit of "Green Eggs and Ham" by dressing in green and whipping up our own green eggs (don't worry, they were delicious!). The kiddos had a blast creating their personal green eggs with fluffy paint and green circles for the yolk.

Friday: Finally, we ended the week on a cozy note with Pajama Day! Inspired by "I am not going to get up today," we built blanket forts and showcased our best fake sleeping skills during circle time.

Seuss Week is always a cherished tradition at PLA Academy, and this year was no exception. We had a week filled with laughter, creativity, and a celebration of Dr. Seuss's imaginative world! Thank you for helping your child dress for the day!
