Chinese New Year

Last week was a filled of red and gold as we explored the wonders of Chinese New Year! We picked up some new skills (and maybe a few giggles) using chopsticks to paint vibrant pictures and even tried our luck at using them to eat (some more successfully than others!). Our classroom echoed with cheers of "Gung Hay Fat Choy!" as we learned about different traditions and celebrated the arrival of the year of the dragon. Every lunchtime was a culinary adventure with delicious Chinese dishes, leaving us with full bellies and happy hearts. And who could forget our magnificent collaborative dragon painting we put on the wall? It is truly a sight to behold! We even ended the days on a sweet note with fortune cookies, filled with messages of good luck and laughter. Our favorite book last week? No surprise, it was "Chopsticks!"
