Fire Safety 🚒🧯
This week, we had a blast celebrating Fire Safety Week! We learned a lot about how to stay safe in the event of a fire, and had some fun activities along the way.
For art, we put out pretend fires, drew and painted with fire colors, and played with shaving foam to learn how some fires are put out with foam like our fire extinguisher has.
At circle time, we read books about fire safety and had a lot of important conversations. We talked about crawling through smoke, how to stop drop and roll, how to call 911, why our fire drills are important, and talked about a meeting place for home if there should ever be a house fire.
The kiddos have talked about all they learned and sang one of our favorite songs all week “hurry hurry drive the fire truck”.
We're all so excited for the firefighter visit on Monday! If it isn't your child's day you may join us at 10:00.
