First Week of School

We had an awesome first week of school.  Our old and new kiddos have settled right in! We spent this week getting to know each other and learning the schedule... we read back to school books like "The Kissing Hand" and "Don't Eat the Teacher" We explored watercolor, markers, paint, paint sticks, and play dough. We talked about our rules and how all of them are to keep us safe... we celebrated 2 Birthdays!! I think this is going to be a great year!!

 Last week at PLA Academy, we had a blast celebrating Dr. Seuss! We spent the whole week exploring his whimsical world through stories, silly activities, and creative art projects. Here's a peek into our Seuss-tacular week: Monday: We kicked things off with everyone's favorite troublemaker, The Cat in the Hat! Christmas fun 🎄

 Ho Ho Ho and Happy Holidays from PLA!  We welcomed a new friend who fit right in and is a great addition to our PLA family.  We've had a whirlwind of wintery fun, and we wanted to share some of the magical moments with you, our amazing families. The scent of cinnamon and ginger filled the classroom with our homemade gingerbread play dough.  We hopped on the magical Polar Express, after reading the story and decorating cookies. As we rode along, we sipped hot cocoa and our imaginations soared as we jingled bells and practiced our "Believe"s, reminding ourselves that Christmas magic truly exists. Our classrooms shimmered as we crafted ornaments. Glitter flew, paint dripped, and tiny fingerprints proudly showcased their creations – the perfect decorations for the tree and gifts for parents!
